Behind every project are the people, and the connections between them. The designers, the makers, the trades, the names you pass on because you trust the work. For two years, Behind the Design has gone beyond the finished image to explore the people, the processes and the personal stories behind the spaces we know and love.
Along the way, the same thing kept happening. Guests who had never met found each other through the show and went on to work together, a stylist and a joiner on the same job, an architect and a maker.
Those connections happened on their own, and the Collective brings everyone into one room so they can happen on purpose.
It's people across design and build who know each other's work, share what they know, and understand how we all work together to meet the brief and get the best out of a project.
So much of this work happens on your own, and here there's a room around you, to share the journey, celebrate the wins, and work through the harder moments with people who understand them.
